2 · Accessing the website & server log files

When you access this website, the web server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, internet service provider, IP address, date and time of access, and the previously visited page. This is technically necessary in order to deliver the website and to ensure its secure, stable operation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (and (c) in conjunction with Art. 32 GDPR). Operation takes place via the infrastructure of the Westfälische Hochschule; the data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the stated purpose. No evaluation for marketing purposes takes place.

3 · Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process your details in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

4 · Submitting contributions (ConfTool)

Contributions are not submitted via this website, but via the external system ConfTool as part of Mensch und Computer 2026. The privacy provisions of the conference and of the German Informatics Society (GI) apply.

5 · Fonts (Google Fonts)

This website embeds fonts via Google Fonts (including the icon font “Material Symbols”). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The fonts are loaded from Google’s servers when the page is accessed; in doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. This is technically necessary in order to display the fonts correctly. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a consistent, appealing presentation). 6 · External links & LinkedIn

This website links to external profiles (including LinkedIn). No social media plugins are embedded; only links are set. Only when you click such a link does your browser establish a connection to the respective provider and transmit data (including your IP address) directly to its servers. The provider of LinkedIn is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; its privacy notice can be found at linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. We have no influence on the nature and extent of the data collected there.

This website uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking tools.
